I started off 2012 with the vision to create a more healthful lifestyle. At the beginning of the year, I didn’t quite know yet what I meant by that or where this would lead to.
As every normal person would do, I started a blog talking about my running and my attempt to a healthier lifestyle. Over the course of the first 9 months of the year, I became blogger friends with many of you and realized how powerful the blogger community is. My thanks goes to all of you who have made my blogging experience a great one!
Over the past 9 months I also learned a lot about healthful lifestyles, mainly that there is not one right one. In fact, many different lifestyles provide for healthy living. Many different diet and nutrition plans have merit. I hope I have learned to be less judgmental about nutrition plans that don’t necessary follow my believes, but work very well for other people. To me that was great learning!
I have also learned that changing your lifestyle doesn’t come easy and that there are set-backs that you have to get through.
Recently, Sandi started a new series about creating a powerful and inspiring new vision for your life. And something struck a chord with me. Sandi (who has been an avid reader of my previous blog and a great supporter! Thank you, Sandi!) mentioned how she was researching ways to better her life and have a positive impact on those around her, but also on her own life.
The post got to me. I am still working on it, actually. But one thing became instantly clear. I need to act NOW. I need to stir my life in the direction that I want to go to. It’s not going to happen if I am not doing it!
So here I am. With a new pact with myself. Taking action.
My first step is to get serious with eating healthful.No more excuses. Just do it!
