Happy Sunday readers! Its such a beautiful day here in London.
I’m so inspired by the ‘Ladder for London‘ Evening Standard Campaign, which is all about securing paid apprenticeships for unemployed young adults with top notch companies. The likes of Goldman Sachs, Sainsbury’s, British Gas, Pret a Manger, and others have stepped up to the plate to create so far 543 jobs already.
I’m wondering whether a similar approach could be used for more experienced adults, who have either lost their job through redundancy for example, or are seeking a career change, and want to dip their toe into the water of a new career, first. The problem one has when they become more experienced is that of being ‘pigeon holed’ and so finding a new challenge, or making that career leap can be difficult.
