100 Day Challenge – Day 14

I am a total slacker when it comes to posting about my activities for the Penguin’s 100 Day Challenge. But I am NOT  a slacker when it comes to actually moving my butt. I notice though that without a race in sight, motivation to do long runs is non-existent. I now define a long run = 3 miles. LOL.

I had plenty of friends who ran the 3M half marathon in Austin, TX yesterday and as I followed their Facebook posts, I felt a little tinge of motivational boost to go for a longer run, but then I looked outside and it was all grey again. That’s ok, I am sticking to my new run/walk/strength routine. At least I am still moving.

100day-challengeSo, on which day did I finish the last 100 Day Challenge post? Oops, that was January 8th. Oh well a whole week of exercise to tell you about…

Jan 9th – 30 minute run

Jan 10th – 1 hour walk (plus one hour standing in the cold waiting for the stars to show up for the UK movie premiere of Django)

Jan 11th – 30 minute strength

Jan 12th – 35 minute run (plus 2 hours in the cold watching ice sculptures melt)

Jan 13th – 1 hour 15 minute walk

Jan 14th – 30 minute strength

And for the rest of today, I am going to watch the snow fall or something like that. Apparently we are expecting snow in London. If it’s real snow I am up for it, but if it’s just slush I don’t want it… Let’s hope for real snow. 🙂

Happy snow day to everyone who has real snow!
