DNS – Did Not Start

Today marks my first involuntary DNS – Did Not Start.

The cold found its way to sunny California and all the way to me. I laid out my running gear last night and was hoping for the symptoms to disappear overnight.  But no. I woke up and my sinuses were super congested and I just didn’t feel like it was a great idea to go for a hilly 10k in the – now  again – slightly warmer weather.

So at 6pm my race shirt still hangs ready to go over a chair. Hmmmm. Maybe it’s time to put it away?

So what do you do with a day that you planned on spending running the hills at the Summit Rock race?

First, you feel sorry about yourself. But after 5 minutes that gets really boring. So you decide to turn around, switch off the alarm and sleep for another 4 hours.

Second, you get out of the house and finish your Christmas shopping.

Third, you spend the afternoon watching your recorded shows on TV and finally watch “Love Actually” this year (because it is a Christmas tradition to watch it every year around Christmas!).

What did you get up to this weekend?
